The Salem Center for Therapy, Training, and Research is a home to clinical practitioners who are interested in developing skills that allow them to move closer to their hopes, dreams, and values in their work. We are committed to respect and accountability in our work with individuals, couples, families, professionals, groups, agencies, and clergy, who consult us for help with problems. Our professional training and programs for clinicians are based on Narrative and Dialogic therapy traditions, ideas, ethics, and practices. To learn more about these traditions, please go to our Mission page.

    Clinical Services

Our therapy services are open to anyone in the community who is experiencing a problem that is interfering with their lives, relationships, and/or work. At The Salem Center, clients and clinicians engage in a mutual process of learning and exploration that is focused on supporting the client's hopes and wishes. In addition, we currently run two special projects — the Fireweed Project and the Dispute Settlement Project. If you want more information about these projects or if you are an individual, couple, family, or group, looking for help with a problem, please see our Clinical Services page, or contact us to talk about how we might help.

    Professional Development

If you are a professional or a student interested in courses, training, supervision, consultation, internship opportunities, research projects, or special events, please see our Professional Development or Special Events pages, or contact us for more information about the many opportunities we provide.
