The Salem Center Fall Conference:

Practices That Create Meaningful Conversations in Education, Community, and Therapy Contexts

November 5 & 6, 2010, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Located at Church of St. Andrew, Marblehead, MA

The Salem Center is delighted to be hosting a two-day conference focused on practices that create meaningful conversations through story-development and new dialogues, with 10+ presentations over two days from a variety of presenters. Presenters include David Trimble, Marjorie Roberts, Ph.D., Sheila McNamee, Ph.D., Claire Fialkov, Ph.D., David Haddad, Ph.D., William Blaine-Wallace, Evan Longin, Ed.D., Deborah Nathan, MA, and Laura Maggio, Ph.D.

Each talk is focused on exciting and innovative practices from the growing field of post-modern approaches in community, education and therapy. Topics include reflecting strategies in a solo practice, education as a relational practice, cultivating strengths through Appreciative Inquiry, and multi-faith ministry from a “not-knowing” position. At the end of each presentation, members of the audience will be invited to offer reflections or participate as outsider witnesses in response to what they heard or resonated for them. We anticipate taht this format will create a rich dialogue and reflecting surface for all of us who attend.

Please see the attached brochure for more information and the registration form. Come for one day or both. CEUs are offered for the two-day attendance for social workers, marriage and family therapists, and mental health counselors.
